New practice group leader elected

May 2010

Hailsham Chambers, the leading civil and commercial set of barristers' chambers is pleased to announce that Nicholas Peacock has been elected to succeed David Pittaway QC as head of its Regulatory & Disciplinary Group.

Following the completion of David's highly effective term as group head, Nick aims to continue developing Chambers' strong position in this growing field of law. The group comprises 5 silks and 28 juniors and offers particular expertise in the healthcare, legal and financial sectors.

Commenting on his appointment, Richard Rodger, Hailsham's Head of Marketing said, "Nick's election is a very positive move for the group. Although he faces a not insignificant challenge to follow in the footsteps of David, who led the group from its launch with such great enthusiasm and with a vast knowledge of the law, his dynamic approach and considerable experience will support the group in this high profile and fast-paced field."

Called to the Bar in 1992, Nick has been described by the directories as "enthusiastic, has excellent preparation skills and is one of the more modern barristers." To find out which members of the group may be best suited to work with you, please contact Stephen Smith, Senior Clerk, by email or T: 020 7643 5000.
