Findings of the Inquiry examining allegations of serious misdiagnosis at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust

December 2010 - The Board of University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust has received and accepted the final report of the Independent Inquiry Panel, Chaired by the Head of Hailsham Chambers' Medical Law Group, Jane Mishcon, which was commissioned to examine allegations of serious misdiagnosis in histopathology services at the Trust between 2000 and 2008.

The allegations related to cases of concern recorded by clinicians. 26 such cases were referred to the Inquiry Panel for investigation and other cases of concern were brought to the panel's attention during the course of the Inquiry.
