In this appeal, the Supreme Court's decision signifies the importance of res judicata principles in disciplinary matters. 

Where a regulator seeks to repackage old and unsuccessful allegations in new/further proceedings, but where the new allegations are still essentially the same as the original ones, there are good grounds to challenge the new/further proceedings.
